Terms and conditions

These are the terms and conditions for City Fire Training Ltd (CFT), booking bespoke services or courses, for organisations booking courses to resell to other organisations, booking delegate spaces on open courses provided by CFT, trading as City Fire Training, Fire Training London and/or Fire Training Course .Com, provision of fire risk assessment services, fire door surveys, fire safety consultancy and any other service provided by City Fire Training Ltd.

Cancellation by customer & late payments

City Fire Training delegates on CFT open courses will be refunded if they provide 10 working days notice of the course date. An administration cancellation fee of £25 per delegate will be incurred.
Organisations booking courses to resell to other organisations cancelling 0 – 6 weeks prior to course will incur a cancellation charge of 100%, 6 – 12 weeks 50 % cancellation fee, all other courses 25% cancellation fee.

Clients booking bespoke courses / services / on-site training or services may incur the following cancellation fees:· Cancellation 4-12 weeks before event, cancellation charge of £250· Cancellation 0-4 weeks before event, cancellation charge 100%. CFT Ltd may waiver this cancellation fee at its discretion. On some occasions, we may invoice clients after we have provided fire training or other services. Invoices must be paid within 30 days of receipt.

PLEASE NOTE OUR PAYMENTS TERMS ARE STRICTLY ON RECEIPT. ANY LATE PAYMENTS WILL ACCRUE INTEREST & DEBT RECOVERY CHARGES In accordance with The Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013

Cancellation by CFT Ltd

CFT Ltd reserve the right to cancel, amend or alter course content, course dates and/or venues, any fire safety service without liability. In the unlikely event of this occurrence, changes will be notified to the person booking the course spaces or service by email or by phone. It will be the client’s responsibility to inform their staff / course delegate of any changes.

CFT Course details

On receipt of your payment we will send a confirmation email of your course spaces(s). Joining instructions, including venue details, will be sent with your confirmation.Course details will be sent with your confirmation and joining instructions.

Disabled delegates

Please inform us if the delegate has any specific requirements.

Fire risk assessments, fire door surveys, fire safety consultancy and other services

Persons booking fire risk assessments, fire doors, fire safety consultancy and other services must provide 7 working days notice to cancel any service. A full refund will be provided to clients providing 7 days notice excluding any prearranged travel costs and accommodation incurred by City Fire Training Ltd.

Persons providing less than 7 days notice of cancellation may be charged up to 100% of the service fee. City Fire Training may waiver this condition at its discretion.

Our fire risk assessments do not include any inspection of external cladding. Clients must make their own arrangements for inspection of cladding on buildings.

Our fire door surveys are a non destructive type of survey. Clients must make their own arrangements if they require destructive type testing.

Limitation of liability

This condition sets out the entire financial liability of CFT Ltd (including any liability for the acts or omissions of its officers, employees, agents and sub-contractors) to the Customer in respect of: (a) any breach of the Contract; (b) any use made by the Customer of the Services or the Training Materials or any part of them; and (c) any representation, statement or tortious act or omission including negligence arising under or in connection with the Contract. All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are to the fullest extent permitted by law excluded from the Contract. Nothing in these conditions limits or excludes the liability of CFT Ltd for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or for any damage or liability incurred by the Customer as a result of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by CFT Ltd.

Subject to these conditions:

(a) CFT shall not be liable for loss of buildings, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and/or similar losses, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of contract, loss of use, loss of corruption of data or information or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses; and
(b) CFTs total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of the Contract shall be limited to the price paid for the Services.

City Fire Training collects personal data from contractors and customers.

Contractor data

We collect names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers and bank details for payment purposes only. This data is destroyed six months after a contractor no longer provides services for City Fire Training Ltd.

Customer data

Personal data collected could include names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers and employer details. City Fire Training does not collect sensitive personal data.

We will never sell data and promise to keep all details safe and secure.

  • Fire training
    • Course attendee data is either supplied by an employer prior to training or is supplied directly by an individual on attendance of the course.
    • Course attendee names are deleted after training certificates have been issued unless specifically agreed with an organisation.
    • Names of persons on open courses are shared with our venue host Lewisham Southwark College (LSC) for student safeguarding.
  • Fire risk assessment
    • Fire risk assessment reports are kept for ten years.
    • Data shared with third party providers is secure under our assurance agreements
  • Online fire training
    • Payments are collected via Paypal or by invoice from City Fire Training Ltd
    • Online participants and their email address are kept securely on the Online training management system.
    • Managers of organisations who purchase bespoke or tailored online fire training can view the names of online participants.
    • Each fire training course licence / fire training course can only be used by one person.
  • Fire door surveys
    • No personal data is collected during this activity.
  • Fire emergency plans and fire evacuation procedures
    • No personal data is collected during this activity.
  • Fire Safety consultancy
    • No personal data is collected during this activity.

Health and Safety

City Fire Training is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our clients, delegates and staff. We promote and preach our high fire safety standards to all those that visit us or at their premises. CFT carries out dynamic risk assessments of its working environment to ensure the safety of those we are with, and encourages visitors and delegates to challenge any situation they feel comprises their health and safety.

Complaints or disagreements

CFT welcomes feedback of its services. We are delighted to receive positive feedback and will consider the content of any constructive criticism.
