Fire marshal training November dates are available for in house and off site courses. We have recently suspended open courses because of the Covid virus situation. However, we seeking new venues to host open courses and also provide live fire training.

In house and off site fire training

Courses can be provided as either non practical or with live fire training exercises. Both types of courses include a classroom session. Managers can ask for a live fire training session if they have an outside space.

Alternatively, managers can ask for training at off site location of their choice. However, they must select the venue themselves.

A suitable outside space is needed for live fire training exercises. It must be:

  • About five car parking spaces in size.
  • Not near air intakes and also flammable sources.
  • Not visible from a road and also not accessible by the public.
  • In an area owned or controlled by you. It can also be in area where you have permission for the practical exercises.

The trainers will carry out a risk assessment of the area. In very rare circumstances we may have to cancel the session due to extreme weather conditions.
