Fire marshal course dates

Fire marshal course dates in London are 28th January and also 25th February 2021. It has been nine months since our last course, so we are expecting a heavy demand for places.

A number of clients have previously booked spaces on courses that were cancelled because of the COVID 19 pandemic. These clients will get first priority of places but we will still have places for other clients.

The 3 hour IFSM accredited courses will also include a live fire extinguisher session. This is always a popular part of the course, so your staff can practice tackling small fires if they wish.

What else is the course?

The course is in 5 parts. First we look at Fire Safety Law, common causes of fire in the workplace and also home, case histories and a look at fire in real time! Next, classes of fire and also all types of extinguishers in workplaces. A practical session using water, foam, CO2 and wet chemical fire extinguishers. After a short break – non emergency duties including fire plans, hazard spotting, safety checks and also drills. Lastly, the role of fire marshals, roll calls, sweep systems, disabled plans and also general evacuation advice.

Each person on the course will get a fire marshal course attendance certificate. They will also receive online notes specific to their workplace on request. Course is suitable for new and existing fire marshals and fire wardens.

Venue is London Scottish House, 95 Horseferry Road, London. The cost will be £75+vat per person. The course is a morning session. The venue is 7-8 minute walk from St James’s Park tube station. Victoria tube station is an 8-10 minute walk.
